"Table Talk" is a series of readings, questions and prayers (listed below) to be used for home devotions. The questions are intended to stimulate discussion around the dinner table. They are meant to be a starting place for people who want to talk about their faith in the context of the home.
In addition to "Table Talk," for each devotion there is a suggestion for translating the things you have discussed that week into something practical. This is called "Faith in Action."
If you are in a family where it is next to impossible to gather everyone around the table at dinner try using "Table Talk" later in the evening. Some families have found that if they light some candles in the living room and turn off the main breaker (Wow!) so that all the lights go out, even teenagers will gather quickly. PDF files for each of the Table Talk segments. (These devotions are designed to be used as a family, a couple or an individual. They can be used at the supper table or at bedtime. Light a candle as a reminder that Jesus is with you. Read from the Bible out of a translation that everyone present can understand. Have each person answer the questions. Add questions of your own.
