Relationships... not Programs!

The emphasis of the ministry which falls under the heading of Partners in Faith or Family Ministry or Faith Ministry is that it is all about relationships... not programs. Although there are several established packages or processes a congregation can use, the people promoting these packages/processes will all agree; if you try to run these things as programs without considering relationships as the key... you will be disappointed.

But the relationships are the exciting thing. As congregation members focus more on faith and relating to each other (partnering); as the focus shifts within the various programs of their congregation from program to relationship; they rediscover that God dwells in congregations and in homes.

God cannot be kept in a “God Box”; faith does not stop at the doors of the church building. Rather, God gathers the faithful into communities of worship and praise, mission and service. These communities grow in homes, congregations, and the whole church gathered under one mission in Christ Jesus. Indeed, through the love of God in Christ Jesus all the baptized are members of the household of God (Eph. 2:19)... but it starts in one-on-one relationships.

PIF is not offering another new program to be fit between other church programs. PIF is offering a rediscovery of an old truth; the life and purpose of your congregation, the way of deciding how to use the gifts (time, talent and treasure which are given to every congregation through the Spirit) are nurtured and strenghtened by good relationships.
